Component Engineer (Finland)
As a result of continued growth and expansion in the area of smart metering we are actively recruiting for Component Engineer to join our world class R&D function. You will be working among our top engineers who have been pioneering breakthrough technologies to help utilities measure electricity – from early mechanical electricity meters to the state-of-the-art smart meters installed today.
Your key responsibilities will include selecting electronic components based on specifications and design requirements. You actively contribute to the creation of a fast paced, high performing team with strong collaboration and continuous improvement processes. You participate on specification phase, design and quality reviews.
Our solutions must work flawlessly from day one which means we need to meet exacting standards in our design, manufacturing, delivery and service. We look for people with the skills to design innovative solutions for moving the industry forward. For that reason, we also want you to share innovative spirit and be passionate about quality, seeking perfection in every product.
We wish you to have knowledge of electronic components, designing and testing experience is an advantage. You are familiar with component procurement, manufacturers and distributors. Understanding of quality aspects and lifetime of components is important. Fluent use of PDM systems (e.g. Smarteam) is a plus. You are a team player, who communicates and negotiates presenting focus and good manner in every situation. Since we work in an international environment we also need you to have fluent English language skills and the ability to prepare good technical documentation.
